Chapel
🎵 Audio guide
The Ermita de Cristo is located just ouside the village of Cadalso, on the track to Torre de Don Miguel. It is a small, stone construction with granite ashlar and some smaller worked stones. The original chapel dates from the 16th century but it has been extended in later centuries.
Two granite columns with worked capitals and stone brackets on the facade support the porch. A round arch gives access to the chapel's interior which comprises a nave with a wooden ceiling and the chancel, covered by a groin vault. There is a 17th century crucifix and an interesting pulpit plinth.
